  • Condition: You are bidding on a mu metal hemispherical bowl. Bowl has a welded on mounting lip / flange and a single penetration. Dimensions: OD at flange: 332mm 13-5/8"; ID bowl at lip: 321mm 12-5/8"; Depth: 189mm 7-7/16". Est. of thickness of bowl: 1-1.2mm; Thickness of lip / flange: 1.75mm. There are no markings on the bowl. It was removed from an Omicron hemispherical surface analyser. Good used condition. No dents, no visible warpage.

    You are bidding on a mu metal hemispherical chamber / bowl.  It has a welded on mounting lip / flange and a single penetration.
    Dimensions:
    OD at flange: 332mm 13-5/8"
    ID bowl at lip: 321mm 12-5/8"
    Depth: 189mm 7-7/16"
    Est. of thickness of bowl: 1-1.2mm (don't have an appropriate tool to accurately measure).
    Thickness of lip / flange: 1.75mm
    There are no markings on the bowl.  It was removed from what we understand to be a Omicron hemispherical surface analyser.
    Please note: The top 30mm of the bowl and the lip / flange has been welded onto the rest of of the bowl (can be seen in photos).  We don't know if this portion is also mu metal, but it appears to be.  It does have similar magnetic attraction as the rest of the bowl.
    Condition: good used condition. No dents, no visible warpage.
